Shalimar Bagh, meaning 'Abode of Love', was built in 1619 by Emperor Jahangir for his wife Nur Jahan. This Mughal garden is laid out in three terraces, each with a central water channel fed by the Harwan canal. The garden features a black marble pavilion, intricate fountains, and chinar trees. Visitors can stroll along the water channels, admire the symmetrical flowerbeds, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere that inspired Mughal poets.
