Rashtrapati Niwas, originally the Viceregal Lodge, is a magnificent Scottish baronial-style building set amidst lush gardens on Observatory Hill. Built in the 1880s, it was the summer retreat of British viceroys and later served as the Indian Institute of Advanced Study. Visitors can tour the grand interiors, including the council chamber where the Shimla Agreement was signed, and stroll through the well-maintained grounds. The building offers panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayas and is a must-see for history and architecture enthusiasts.
