Elephant Falls is a stunning three-tiered waterfall located about 12 km from Shillong, set amidst dense vegetation. The name comes from a rock that once resembled an elephant, though the shape has eroded over time. Visitors descend a series of steps to view each tier, with the lower falls being the most dramatic. The misty spray and the sound of rushing water create a refreshing atmosphere. The site is well-maintained with viewing platforms and shaded rest areas.
