Kaba Gandhi No Delo is a modest two-story house on Kasturba Gandhi Road in Rajkot, Gujarat, where Mahatma Gandhi spent part of his childhood. The building, originally the home of his father Karamchand Gandhi (who worked as a diwan, or prime minister, in the local princely state), has been preserved as a museum. Visitors can walk through rooms furnished with period pieces, including photographs, letters, and personal artifacts that illustrate Gandhi's early years and family life. The museum offers a quiet, reflective experience, contrasting with the busy streets outside. Exhibits focus on Gandhi's upbringing, his education, and the influences that shaped his philosophy. The house itself is a fine example of traditional Gujarati architecture, with a central courtyard and wooden pillars. It's a significant site for understanding the formative years of one of India's most iconic leaders.
