Manakula Vinayagar Temple is one of Pondicherry's oldest and most revered temples, dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple's striking gopuram (entrance tower) is adorned with vibrant sculptures depicting Hindu deities. Inside, the main shrine houses a large idol of Ganesha. A unique feature is the temple elephant, Lakshmi, who blesses devotees with her trunk. Visitors can observe rituals, offer prayers, and explore the intricately carved pillars. The temple is a hub of activity, especially during festivals like Vinayagar Chaturthi.
