Stone House, built in 1822, is the first bungalow constructed in Ooty and a cornerstone of the town's colonial history. Originally the residence of John Sullivan, the founder of Ooty, this stone structure now houses the Government Arts College. Visitors can stroll through the well-maintained grounds, admiring the simple yet elegant architecture that blends British and local styles. The building's thick stone walls and verandas evoke the early days of the British hill station. Though the interior is not open to the public, the exterior and surrounding gardens offer a glimpse into Ooty's past. It's a quiet, reflective spot away from tourist crowds.
