Robber's Cave, locally known as Guchhupani, is a river cave formation in the outskirts of Dehradun. The cave is unique because a stream disappears underground and reappears inside the cave, creating a shallow, cool waterway that visitors can wade through. The cave is about 600 meters long and narrows to a point where water emerges from the rocks. Surrounded by forested hills, it is a popular spot for hiking, picnicking, and photography. The site is also associated with local legends of robbers using it as a hideout.

Don't miss

  • Wade through the knee-deep stream inside the cave, feeling the cool water.
  • Hike the surrounding forest trails leading to the cave entrance.
  • Explore the dark, narrow passages where the stream disappears underground.
