The Kati roll at Kusum Roll's is so tasty! I came in with no expectations as I didn't know what those rolls really were. I had the chicken roll and it was amazing. Spicy, crispy, flaky and tangy. The pickled onions added the extra burst of flavour needed to this perfect roll. Highly recommend a visit here, and the rolls start at ~50rps.
It is an iconic place and hence quite crowded . They should provide seating area so that crowd can be managed. Speaking of food that is the roll- in my personal experience it was just okay. I have had better and i personally didn’t liked the taste too much. But service is very fast.
Highly over rated spot. Very average food. Rolls were not flaky, done in a hurry. Not worth the visit. MANY OTHER PLACES IN KOLKATA HAVE MUCH BETTER ROLLS
I came based on all the hype. I have never tried a kathi roll so can't compare it. It was nice but so spicy. My mouth was on fire! There is a wide variety of fillings including something for those that follow a vegetarian diet. Cheap. I went for the chicken roll. Halal. Nice, freshly made in front of you as you wait. Busy but they serve fast. There is no seating so you just have to stand in the street and eat with everyone else! Something to be eaten straight away. Staff could be a lot friendlier. Hygiene is debatable as they use the same area for vegetarian and non-vegetarian. They have drinks too although I didn't bother with this as my thought was how I can eat, stand and drink too! You need both hands to eat the roll.
