The Battle of the Tennis Court marks the location of a pivotal clash during the 1944 Battle of Kohima. Here, a small force of Allied soldiers held a small tennis court against relentless Japanese attacks, preventing the capture of Garrison Hill. Today, the site is preserved as a historic landmark with a memorial plaque and interpretive signs.
