Ekambareswarar Temple is a sprawling complex in Kanchipuram, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple's most iconic feature is its massive 59-meter-high gopuram (gateway tower), covered in vibrant sculptures. Inside, the main sanctum houses a Shiva lingam, and the courtyard shelters a legendary mango tree with four branches representing the four Vedas. Visitors can explore pillared halls, a sacred tank, and numerous shrines, experiencing the deep spiritual atmosphere that has drawn pilgrims for centuries.
