The Barli Inscription is a rock edict dating back to the 3rd century BCE, attributed to the Mauryan emperor Ashoka. Located in the village of Barli, about 30 km from Jodhpur, it is one of the few Ashokan inscriptions in Rajasthan. Visitors can see the Brahmi script carved into a large boulder, which records the emperor's policies on dharma. The site is a serene, off-the-beaten-path attraction for history enthusiasts.
