This restaurant boasts a captivating ambiance paired with a delightful culinary offering. The menu features a diverse selection of dishes complemented by an impressive array of craft beers. The service is commendable, though the high footfall may result in slight delays in food preparation. Among the dishes we tried, the Koli(Chicken) Chips and Peri Peri Prawns were the highlights. Adding to the experience, the venue also features a projector screen for sports enthusiasts. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable visit.
Took my nephew for lunch today to Prost. He took a look at the menu last night (Google) and liked what he saw. I also hyped up his enthu by telling him how good the food is here. But, oh boy what a disappointing lunch it was! He wanted to try the Tenderloin steak - what was served looked like 2 sad pieces of burger patty. He's had much much better steaks in California and this was such a let down 😞. Tandoori Peri Peri Prawns - was great. Jalapeno cheese poppers was ok. Cajun Potatoes - this was another total failure. I make better ones if I have to say so. The potatoes weren't crispy at all. The Cajun sauce lacked the punch. Plating it as a heap made it so soggy and tasteless. Fish n chips - How can a place like Prost fail so badly with Fish n chips???? 👀. The batter fried fish looked like mini sea lions on a plate. The batter coating is supposed to be crispy with a good bread crumb coating. This was puffed up like a bajji with so little fish inside. Penne in Pesto - was ok. Drinks - Beer and Mocktails (Never ending freshness and I am Popeye). It was a sad sad lunch. Never expected this from Prost 😔.
Visited as a family in March this year on Easter weekend. Struggled for a decent table despite calling in advance. Food portions were small but tasty. The craft beers were not that great but we gulped them down as they were determined to push us out at 12. They switched off the lights before we could finish our food or drink so we had to grope in the dark literally to get our hands on what was still in the plates and vacate. Hospitality and politeness are not words in their staff dictionary. For want of many options, the desperate folk in the city, still clamer for tables during the weekend It’s truly pathetic when you get treated like that in such a so called fancy place.
I am a frequent at most of the breweries and pubs in the city. There is none other like prost, my friend was visiting me in April 2022 and he wanted to party, so I ended up taking them to Prost. They simply loved everything from food, music, ambience, vibe, the crowd. Everything was 10 / 10. The next time they came over in May, this time around I took them to many other places but after some pub hopping they just wanted to be at the Prost. Robert at Prost is a great guy with right attitude and aptitude for hospitality.
