NTR Garden

NTR Garden is a beautifully landscaped park situated on the banks of Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad. Named after the late actor-politician N. T. Rama Rao, the garden spans over 55 acres and features themed sections, including a rock garden, a children's play area, and a musical fountain. Visitors can stroll along winding paths lined with flowering plants and trees, enjoy the cool breeze from the lake, and take in views of the iconic Buddha statue in the middle of the lake. The garden is a popular spot for morning walks, family picnics, and evening outings. It also houses a memorial for N. T. Rama Rao and a small aquarium. The park's central location in the Sultan Bazar area makes it easily accessible and a pleasant escape from the city's hustle.

A bit of history

NTR Garden was developed in the 1990s by the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority and named after N. T. Rama Rao, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The garden was built on land reclaimed from the lake and opened to the public in 1999.
