Bhimgoda Barrage is a dam structure built across the Ganges River in Haridwar, primarily to regulate water flow for irrigation and drinking water. Visitors come here to enjoy the expansive views of the river as it flows through the barrage, and to stroll in the adjacent park, which features well-maintained lawns and walking paths. The site is less crowded than the main ghats, making it a quiet spot to observe the river's power and beauty. It's a popular place for evening walks and photography, especially at sunset when the light glints off the water.

Don't miss

  • Watch the Ganges water rush through the barrage gates
  • Relax in the landscaped park with benches and greenery
  • Capture sunset views over the river from the bridge
