This is a place famous since long before for different regional Bihari food i am a little familiar with it and fortunately went with a person who was familiar with and we both loved the little food we tried . HONESTLY however much the food is authentic and tasty the portions of appetiser are too small, if you want people to have more food from mains price of appetiser should be reduced a bit
We really enjoyed eating here. My friend had been here many times before and I had not tried Bihari food before. He had the fish and chips, and I had the lamb kebabs. The owner and the wait staff were highly attentive and friendly. I also had some Nettles Lemongrass tea, which was refreshing and delightful.
I have a feeling they are selling the data they procure from the survey they get filled at the time of billing for marketing purposes. Both I & the friend who filled the questionnaire have been receiving calls for loans from Indore MP numbers beginning with +91731.. No amount of blocking the numbers has helped over the last few months. This is a strong suspicion, I do not have confirmatory evidence though at the current point.
This place was highly recommended by various sources which took us to venture out and try authentic Bihari cuisine in the heart of the cosmopolitan metropolis. The ambience is beautiful and chic with traditional Madhubani paintings and rural artefacts. I tried my first ever litti chokha and instantly fell in love. The litti came drenched in pure desi ghee, so one has to be cautious about the trigycerides value. Well, you can consider it for a cheat day. Please do order the mutton and jhinga (prawn), absolutely fabulous. Mind you, the dishes are heavy and will keep you full for long. The dishes would demand lots of water intake after the meal.
