Nohkalikai Falls is the tallest plunge waterfall in India, cascading 335 meters into a stunningly green pool at its base. The sight is most dramatic during the monsoon season when the water flow is at its peak, but even in drier months, the sheer drop and the deep blue-green of the pool create a mesmerizing scene. Visitors can view the falls from a designated lookout point on the cliff edge, which offers a panoramic perspective of the cascade and the surrounding valley. The name 'Nohkalikai' is tied to a local legend, adding a layer of cultural intrigue to the natural wonder.

Don't miss

  • View the falls from the main lookout point, which offers a direct face-on perspective of the 335-meter plunge.
  • Visit during or just after the monsoon (June–September) to see the waterfall at its most powerful.
  • Notice the deep turquoise color of the plunge pool, caused by dissolved minerals and the depth of the water.
