Gaya Airport, officially known as Gaya International Airport, is the closest air link to Bodh Gaya, located about 12 kilometers away. It handles a steady flow of international pilgrims, especially from Thailand, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka, who come to visit the Mahabodhi Temple. The terminal is modest but functional, with basic amenities and a small café. Flights are limited, mostly connecting to Delhi, Kolkata, and Bangkok. Despite its size, the airport buzzes with energy during peak pilgrimage seasons, offering a first glimpse of Bihar's spiritual landscape.
