Vishnupad Temple is a prominent Hindu shrine in Gaya, built along the banks of the Phalgu River. The temple's main attraction is a massive 40-foot-long footprint of Lord Vishnu, imprinted on a basalt rock and enclosed within a silver-plated basin. The temple architecture features a 100-foot-high octagonal spire and intricate carvings. Pilgrims perform pind daan (funerary rites) here, believing it helps liberate ancestors' souls. The temple is a hub of religious activity, especially during Pitru Paksha.
