Taj-ul-Masajid, meaning 'Crown of Mosques,' is one of the largest mosques in Asia, located in the heart of Bhopal. Its construction began in the 19th century under the rule of the Bhopal state and was completed in the 20th century. The mosque boasts a stunning pink facade, three massive white domes, and two towering minarets. The interior is equally impressive, with spacious prayer halls, marble floors, and intricate calligraphy. It is a functioning mosque, so visitors are welcome outside prayer times, and the peaceful courtyard offers a serene escape from the city bustle.

Don't miss

  • Admire the grand pink facade and the three large white domes.
  • Explore the spacious prayer hall with its marble flooring and chandeliers.
  • Climb the minarets for a panoramic view of Bhopal (if open).
