Dodda Basavana Gudi, also known as the Bull Temple, is a historic Hindu temple in Bengaluru dedicated to Nandi, the sacred bull of Lord Shiva. Its main attraction is a colossal monolithic Nandi statue carved from a single granite rock, measuring about 4.5 meters tall and 6 meters long. The temple's Dravidian architecture and serene atmosphere draw both devotees and tourists. Visitors can observe the intricately carved statue, explore the temple grounds, and witness local rituals. The temple is particularly lively during festivals like Kadalekai Parishe, a groundnut fair held annually.
