Chini Ka Rauza is a distinctive tomb in Agra, built in 1635 for the Persian poet and scholar Afzal Khan, who served in the Mughal court. Its most striking feature is the extensive use of colorful glazed tiles (chini) in geometric and floral patterns, a rare example of Persian-influenced tile work in India. The square structure with a single dome stands out against Agra's sandstone and marble monuments. Visitors can examine the intricate tile designs and appreciate the fusion of Persian and Mughal aesthetics.

Don't miss

  • Study the vibrant blue, green, and yellow glazed tile patterns.
  • See the unique Persian-style dome and arched entrance.
