The Imagine Peace Tower is a conceptual artwork by Yoko Ono, dedicated to John Lennon and world peace. Located on Viðey Island, just off Reykjavík's coast, the tower consists of a vertical beam of light that shoots into the sky from a stone pedestal inscribed with the words 'Imagine Peace' in 24 languages. The light is powered by geothermal energy and is visible from Reykjavík on clear nights. Visitors reach the island by ferry and can see the tower up close, surrounded by the island's rugged beauty and historic ruins.
