Dobogókő, meaning 'Knocking Stone,' is the highest peak in the Pilis Mountains at 699 meters, and a beloved destination for hikers and day-trippers. The summit features a wooden lookout tower that rewards visitors with sweeping views of the Danube River, the Börzsöny Hills, and the Visegrád Castle. The area is a hub for outdoor activities, with numerous marked trails starting from the parking lot, including routes to the Rám-szakadék gorge and other scenic spots. In winter, Dobogókő becomes a popular spot for sledding and cross-country skiing. The site also has a visitor center, picnic areas, and a restaurant, making it an ideal base for exploring the Pilis.
