The Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Székesfehérvár served as the coronation church for Hungarian kings from the 11th century onward. Though the original medieval structure was largely destroyed, the current baroque cathedral stands on its foundations. Visitors can explore the crypt, which contains royal tombs, and admire the ornate interior that reflects centuries of history. The basilica remains an active place of worship and a symbol of Hungary's royal heritage.
