The Reformed Great Church dominates Debrecen's main square with its twin spires and neoclassical facade. Built in the early 19th century, it replaced an earlier church and has been a focal point for Hungarian Protestantism, hosting the proclamation of the Hungarian Republic in 1849. Visitors can admire the simple, elegant interior, climb one of the towers for panoramic city views, and see the historic pulpit and organ.
