Gatehouse Tower

The Gatehouse Tower (also known as the Lookout Tower) is a prominent feature of Budapest's Fisherman's Bastion, a neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque terrace on the Buda Castle Hill. Built between 1895 and 1902, the tower stands as part of the bastion complex, offering one of the best panoramic views of the Danube River, the Hungarian Parliament Building, and the Pest side of the city. Visitors can climb the tower's spiral staircase to the top for a breathtaking 360-degree vista. The tower's white stone architecture, with its conical turrets and arched windows, is a favorite spot for photographers. A bit of history
