Volcán San Pedro is an active stratovolcano on the shores of Lake Atitlán, offering one of the most popular hikes in the region. The trail ascends through cloud forest and coffee plantations to the summit, where hikers are rewarded with panoramic vistas of the lake, the surrounding volcanoes, and the Guatemalan highlands. The moderate-to-strenuous climb takes about 3–4 hours each way, and a guide is recommended for safety and navigation.
