Phylakopi is one of the most significant archaeological sites in the Cyclades, dating back to the Bronze Age. Excavations have revealed a well-planned settlement with houses, streets, and fortifications, as well as a sanctuary and workshops. The site provides a tangible connection to the Cycladic civilization, which flourished here from the 3rd to the 2nd millennium BCE. Visitors can walk among the stone foundations and imagine daily life in this ancient town, while artifacts such as pottery and figurines are displayed in the Archaeological Museum of Milos.
