The Temple of Artemis in Corfu was built around 580 BCE and is considered one of the first Doric temples entirely of stone. Though only the foundation and a few columns remain, the site offers a glimpse into early Greek architecture. The temple's most famous feature is its pediment, depicting the Gorgon Medusa flanked by panthers, which is now displayed at the Archaeological Museum. Visitors can walk among the ruins and imagine the temple's original grandeur in a peaceful, olive-tree-dotted setting.
