Agioi Theodoroi are two small, rocky islands located just off the northern coast of Crete near Chania. Designated as a nature reserve, they are uninhabited and accessible only by boat. The islands are famous for hosting a population of the endangered Kri-Kri (Cretan wild goat), which was introduced here to protect the species. The surrounding waters are crystal clear and popular for snorkeling, while the islands themselves are a haven for seabirds like the Eleonora's falcon. Visitors can take boat tours from nearby beaches such as Stavros or Kalathas, but landing on the islands is prohibited to protect the wildlife.

Don't miss

  • Spotting Kri-Kri goats climbing the rocky slopes of the islands.
  • Snorkeling in the pristine waters around the islands, teeming with marine life.
  • Observing seabirds, including Eleonora's falcons, soaring above the cliffs.
