Diebsturm

Diebsturm (Thief Tower) is a well-preserved medieval tower located at Oberer Schrannenplatz in Lindau, on Lake Constance. It was part of the city's defensive walls and later used as a prison, hence the name 'Thief Tower'. The tower stands about 30 meters tall and features a distinctive onion dome and a clock face. Visitors can admire its stone construction and the surrounding historic buildings. While you cannot enter the tower itself, it is a picturesque photo spot and a key element of Lindau's old town charm. The area around the tower is lively, with cafes and shops.

A bit of history
