Neroberg is a scenic hill that rises above Wiesbaden, providing sweeping vistas of the city, the Rhine valley, and the Taunus mountains. The journey up is an attraction in itself: the Nerobergbahn, a water-powered funicular built in 1888, carries visitors on a gentle incline through wooded slopes. At the top, you'll find the Russian Orthodox Church of Saint Elizabeth, with its golden domes gleaming against the sky, and the Nerotal park below. The hill is a favorite spot for walks, picnics, and watching the sunset. On clear days, the view stretches across the Rhine to the vineyards of the Rheingau region. The funicular operates seasonally, and the summit area also features a restaurant and playground.
