The Zillierbach Dam, also known as the Zillierbach Reservoir, is a scenic water body set in the Harz mountains just south of Wernigerode. Built in the early 20th century to supply drinking water, the dam and its surrounding forests have become a beloved destination for walkers, joggers, and nature lovers. A well-maintained path runs along the reservoir's edge, offering stunning views of the calm water against a backdrop of rolling hills and dense woodland. The area is particularly beautiful in autumn when the leaves turn golden, and in winter when snow dusts the landscape.
