The Hölderlinturm (Hölderlin Tower) is a small but poignant museum dedicated to the life and work of the German poet Friedrich Hölderlin (1770-1843). The tower, situated on the Neckar River, was Hölderlin's home for the last 36 years of his life, during which he suffered from mental illness. The museum, spread over several floors, recreates his living quarters and displays manuscripts, personal items, and portraits. The rooms are modestly furnished, giving a sense of the poet's daily existence. The top floor offers a small exhibition on his poetry and influence. The tower itself is a picturesque half-timbered building, and its location on the riverbank adds to the romantic atmosphere. Visitors can also enjoy a small garden and a café nearby.
