The New Palace (Neues Schloss) dominates Stuttgart's central Schlossplatz with its grand Baroque architecture. Built in the 18th century, it served as the primary residence for the Kings of Württemberg until 1918. Today, the palace is used by the state government, but its exterior and the surrounding square remain a focal point for visitors. The palace's symmetrical facade, ornate details, and the expansive Schlossplatz with its fountain and gardens offer a picturesque setting. While the interior is not generally open to the public, the building's historical significance and architectural beauty make it a must-see landmark. The square itself hosts events and provides a relaxing spot to admire the palace alongside the adjacent Old Castle and Jubilee Column.
