St. Mary's Church is one of the largest brick Gothic churches in northern Germany, dominating the Stralsund skyline with its towering spire. Built between the 13th and 15th centuries, the church features a soaring nave, intricate vaulted ceilings, and a wealth of medieval art, including a magnificent astronomical clock from the 14th century. The main draw for many visitors is the climb up the 104-meter tower, which rewards with sweeping views over the city, the Strelasund strait, and the island of Rügen.
