The Speyer Brezelfest is a lively folk festival held each year in July, honoring the city's baking tradition and the iconic pretzel. The festival takes place on the Festival Square (Festplatz) near the Rhine River, featuring a large fairground with amusement rides, game booths, and food stalls. The highlight is the grand parade on Sunday, where colorful floats, marching bands, and costumed groups wind through the old town, often throwing pretzels to the crowd.
