The Castle Garden (Burggarten) is a serene public park located on the grounds of what was once Rothenburg's imperial castle, destroyed in the 14th century. Today, it offers beautifully landscaped gardens, shaded pathways, and one of the best viewpoints in the city overlooking the Tauber Valley. Visitors can stroll among flower beds, ancient trees, and a small pond. The garden is a popular spot for picnics, reading, or simply enjoying the tranquility. At the edge of the garden, a terrace provides a sweeping panorama of the valley, vineyards, and the distant hills. The park also contains a war memorial and remnants of the castle's foundations. It's a favorite among locals and tourists alike for its peaceful atmosphere and scenic beauty.

Don't miss

  • Panoramic view of the Tauber Valley from the terrace
  • Landscaped gardens with flower beds and a pond
  • Remains of the imperial castle foundations
  • Peaceful walking paths and shaded benches
