Weingarten Abbey, also known as the Abbey of St. Martin, is a magnificent Baroque monastery perched on a hill overlooking the town of Weingarten, just south of Ravensburg. The centerpiece is the Basilica of St. Martin, a vast church with twin towers and an ornate interior featuring stucco work, frescoes, and a high altar. The basilica houses the Reliquary of the Holy Blood, a revered relic brought from Jerusalem. Visitors can explore the monastery's courtyards, the former monks' quarters, and the museum that details the abbey's history.
