Ravensburg's historic neighborhood is a well-preserved medieval old town that invites visitors to wander through narrow cobblestone lanes lined with colorful half-timbered houses. The area is dominated by three iconic city gates, the Obertor, Untertor, and Grüner Turm, and several watchtowers that once formed part of the fortifications. Walking through the market square, you'll see the Gothic Town Hall and the 14th-century Church of Our Lady. The neighborhood also houses the Museum Ravensburger, dedicated to the famous puzzle company, and the Humpis-Quartier, a museum complex showcasing medieval merchant life. Distinctive features include the many frescoed facades and the lively weekly market held on the square. The atmosphere is both historic and vibrant, with cafes, shops, and galleries tucked into ancient buildings.
