The Orangery Palace, also known as the New Orangery, is a magnificent building in Sanssouci Park that embodies the Italian Renaissance Revival style. Stretching over 300 meters, its long facade is punctuated by a central dome and twin towers, housing a grand hall, royal apartments, and a vast greenhouse. The palace was built to shelter Frederick William IV's collection of citrus trees during winter, and the central hall is a masterpiece of marble and gilding. Visitors can tour the opulent royal rooms, including the King's study and Queen's salon, adorned with paintings and sculptures. The terraced gardens in front are laid out in formal French style, with fountains and statues. It's less crowded than Sanssouci Palace but equally impressive, offering a glimpse into Prussian royal life.
