Domfelsen is a distinctive natural rock formation located on the banks of the Elbe River, directly opposite Magdeburg Cathedral. This geological feature consists of sandstone cliffs that rise abruptly from the river, creating a dramatic landscape. It is a popular spot for walking and photography, especially at sunset when the rocks glow in warm light. The area is part of a larger green space that includes paths along the river, making it a peaceful escape from the city. Visitors can also see the cathedral from a unique perspective across the water. The formation is accessible via a short walk from the city center and is a great place for a picnic or quiet contemplation.
