St. Andreas (St. Andrew's Church) is a prominent Gothic church in Hildesheim, known for its soaring spire, the tallest in the city at 114 meters. The church was built in the 14th century and features a striking brick Gothic style. Inside, visitors can see a beautiful stained glass window by Charles Crodel and a modern altar. The main draw for many is the climb up the 364 steps to the viewing platform, which offers breathtaking 360-degree views of Hildesheim's rooftops, the surrounding countryside, and on clear days, the Harz Mountains. The church also houses a museum of church history in its tower base.
