The Herrenhausen Gardens are a stunning ensemble of historic gardens in the Herrenhausen district of Hanover. The centerpiece is the Great Garden (Großer Garten), a meticulously maintained baroque garden with geometric flower beds, fountains, and a grand parterre. Adjacent is the Berggarten, a botanical garden with a tropical house and a large collection of orchids. The gardens also include the Georgengarten, an English-style landscape park, and the Welfengarten. Visitors can explore the ornate grotto, the Herrenhausen Palace (now a museum), and enjoy seasonal events like the International Fireworks Competition. The gardens are a peaceful retreat and a testament to Hanover's royal heritage.
