Brunswick Cathedral, officially the Cathedral of St. Blaise, is a stunning example of Romanesque and Gothic architecture in the heart of Braunschweig. Founded in 1173 by Henry the Lion, the Duke of Saxony, it stands as one of the city's most significant landmarks. Visitors are drawn to its imposing twin towers, intricate stone carvings, and the serene atmosphere inside. The interior features a magnificent bronze baptismal font, medieval frescoes, and the famous Imervard Crucifix, a masterpiece of Romanesque sculpture.
