The Reichstag Building is one of Berlin's most significant landmarks, serving as the seat of the German Bundestag (parliament). Its history dates back to 1894, but the building was heavily damaged in World War II and later restored. The most distinctive feature is the large glass dome, added in the 1990s as part of a renovation by architect Norman Foster. Visitors can climb the spiral ramp inside the dome for 360-degree views of the city skyline, including the Brandenburg Gate and the Berlin Cathedral. The dome is also a symbol of transparency in government, as visitors can look down into the plenary chamber below. The building's facade combines historic stone with modern glass, and the rooftop terrace offers a great vantage point. A visit here provides both architectural wonder and insight into German democracy.
