Narikala is an ancient fortress that dominates the Tbilisi skyline from a steep hill above the old town. Visitors can hike or take a cable car to reach its walls and towers, where they are rewarded with panoramic vistas of the city's colorful rooftops, the river, and distant mountains. The site includes the recently restored St. Nicholas Church and offers a tangible sense of Georgia's layered history, with sections dating back to the 4th century.
