Prometheus Cave, also known as Kumistavi Cave, is one of Georgia's natural wonders, located about 20 kilometers from Kutaisi. Discovered in 1984 and opened to the public in 2011, the cave stretches over 1.5 kilometers of illuminated walkways. Visitors descend into a subterranean world of towering stalactites, massive stalagmites, petrified waterfalls, and crystal-clear underground rivers. The cave is divided into several halls, each with unique formations, such as the 'Hall of Love' and the 'Hall of the King'. A boat ride on the underground river adds an extra dimension to the experience. The constant temperature of around 14°C (57°F) makes it a refreshing escape in summer. Prometheus Cave is a must-visit for nature lovers and anyone fascinated by geology.
