The Vallée de l'Eure is a lush, green valley just outside Uzès, offering a tranquil escape into nature. The area is best known for the remains of a Roman aqueduct basin, part of the ancient system that carried water from the Eure spring to the city of Nîmes, a distance of about 50 km. Visitors can walk along the river, enjoy picnic areas shaded by plane trees, and explore the archaeological ruins. The site is popular for family outings, leisurely strolls, and learning about Roman engineering. The clear, flowing water and abundant vegetation create a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxation.
