Castle Hill (Colline du Château) is a 92-meter-high park that provides the best panoramic views of Nice, the Baie des Anges, and the old port. Despite its name, the hill no longer has a castle, only ruins of a medieval fortress destroyed in the 18th century. The park features a large artificial waterfall, lush gardens, and shaded paths perfect for a leisurely climb. Visitors can hike up via stairs or take a free elevator from the old town. At the top, you'll find a playground, a café, and several lookout points where you can capture postcard-worthy photos of the city's red-tiled roofs and the turquoise sea. The park is a tranquil escape from the bustling streets below, with benches and grassy areas ideal for a picnic.
